ICAS urged the world community to support the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in amateur sports.

At the ICAS session in the Republic of Turkey, it was decided to appeal to the world community to support the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in amateur sports.
In the above-mentioned Convention, the expression "racial discrimination" means any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, color, descent, national or ethnic origin, having the purpose or effect of destroying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of rights human and fundamental freedoms in amateur sports or any other areas of public life.

When establishing the Convention, ICAS was based on the goals and principles of the Worldwide Charter of Amateur Sports (Rome Charter), adopted in Rome, the Italian Republic on August 3, 2017.
